Outpost

A strategy simulation game involving mankind's colonization of distant planets.  

(Winner of Consumer Electronics Show -- Best of  Show,  July, 1994)

Position - Art Director

Responsibilities and Accomplishments

·         Management of a team of artists in the creation of  all artwork for the project, including concept design, marketing art, game interface, rendered game elements, and 3D animated cut scenes.        

·        Creation of storyboards, drawings, 2D and 3D computer generated artwork and animation, and integration of these elements into the final product.  Because Outpost was Sierra's first 3D rendered strategy game, I was also responsible for introducing new 3D tools to the company and training the staff in the use of the software.

·         In addition to art direction on Outpost, I participated in the product design, and received  credit as Assistant Designer.  In this role I collaborated with the game designer to create interface designs,  overall game structure, rules, and other  design elements.
